Circulation Status/Order Information Help
Following are the possible "Circulation Status" and "Order Information" notes you will see displayed for each record at the top of the Library Record page.
| At Bindery | Item is being repaired. | Fill out a Search Hold Card at Circulation to have the item held for you when it is repaired. |
| Checked Out - Due on (date) |
Checked out; due on the date indicated. (If the book is from the main collection, it may
be checked out for three weeks and renewed three times unless someone places a hold on it.)
Checked out; on long term loan (more than 3 weeks): |
Fill out a Search Hold Card at Circulation to initiate a recall of the item. |
| Checked In - (date) | Checked in at Circulation within the last 2 days. | The item could: 1) already be reshelved, 2) waiting on a reshelving truck on the 2nd or 3rd floors near the main stairwell, or 3) still at Circulation. Check all three locations if necessary. |
| In Process -- as of (date) | Item is currently being cataloged. | Fill out a Search Hold Card at Circulation to have the item cataloged and held for you at Circulation. |
| Lost - System Applied -- as of (date) | Checked out and 45 days overdue on the date indicated; the borrower has been billed for the item. | You may use Interlibrary Loan to borrow the item from another library by completing a request form. |
| Lost - Library Applied (Requests: 1) -- as of (date) | Checked out, recalled, and billed on the date indicated because the borrower did not respond to a recall request. | |
| Missing - (date) | Item has been missing for at least one year and is being considered for replacement. | You may use Interlibrary Loan to borrow the item from another library by completing a request form. |
| Not Checked Out | Not checked out. | Item should be on the shelf. (Exception: If there is also Order Information which says "1 Copy Received as of (date)" follow the directions for that status.) If you do not find the item on the shelf: 1) check the reshelving trucks on the 2nd or 3rd floors near the main stairwell or 2) ask for assistance. |
| Not Checked Out -- has (1) request(s) | Not checked out and not where it should be in the Library bookstacks; hold placed for a patron; the Library staff is searching for it. | You may also complete a Search Hold Card at Circulation to have it reserved for you. |
| On Hold -- CIRC (Requests: 1) | On hold shelf at Circulation waiting for pickup (if just checked in today, may not be on hold shelf yet). | |
| 1 Copy Ordered -- as of (date) (Order Information) |
Item has been ordered but not yet received in the Library. | Check later for changed status and actions available to you with the new status. |

Item has been received and is currently being cataloged. | Fill out a Search Hold Card at Circulation to have the item cataloged and held for you at Circulation. |
| Order being Prepared (Order Information) |
Item is in the process of being ordered by the Library. | Check later for changed status and actions available to you with the new status. |
| Overdue - Due on (date) | Checked out and overdue; due on the date indicated. | Fill out a Search Hold Card at Circulation to initiate a recall of the item. |
| Recall Request (Requests: 1) - Due on (date) | Checked out, recalled at request of another patron. | You may also complete a Search Hold Card at Circulation to have it reserved for you. |
| Renewed - Due on (date) | Checked out, due on date indicated. If a book is from the main collection it can be renewed three times unless someone places a hold on it. | Fill out a Search Hold Card at Circulation to initiate a recall of the item. |
