New Chrome Laptops available to checkout
Your Library has added 20 more laptops for a total of 34 now available to borrow!  
No computer stations available in the Library? Check out a laptop to get your work done!
Need to take a laptop to class?  Borrow one for up to 4 hours!  
Laptops include the same software found on any Library computers and allow wireless printing to printers throughout the building.

Hiking Humbldt: 10 Extraordinary but Little Known Walks in Humboldt County
Ready to find a new favorite place to go for a walk? Hear tales from the trail as Rees Hughes talks about walking in Humboldt County and shares images to inspire (and inform!) your next hike. All walks featured appear in the book, Hiking Humboldt Volume 2: 101 Shorter Day Hikes, Urban and Road Walks.
These include walking the 0.4 mile long Loleta Tunnel, exploring Lacks Creak and Schoolhouse Peak/Lyons Ranch, walking the Ft. Seward Road or the Dyerville Loop Road, finding fossils on the Centerville Beach to Fleener Creek Loop, and more.
Join us on Thursday, October 12 from 6:30-8pm in the Library Fishbowl, 2nd floor.

October Fun in the Library
There are lots of fun events happening in your library this month!  Here are just a few:
SkillShops continue with an Escape Room during Open Access Week October 23-26 from 5-5:50pm. Open all the locks to get proof that a mad scientist is up to something in this 50-minute Escape Room. Maximum of 6 people per group. (Note: all sessions are full, watch for future events)
Scary Stuff Trivia Night is back in the Library Lobby on Sunday, October 29 from 5-6pm. Get a team together or play by yourself on this Halloween Themed Trivia Night.
"Scary" Storytime and Trick or Treating comes to the Library on Tuesday, October 31 from 3-5pm. Students, staff, and faculty are invited to bring their children to Trick or Treat with the librarians and to listen to Halloween or Fall storytime in the Lobby.
