Fukiko Oguchi Marshall Reception

PINK PETAL SKY, a vibrant acrylic triptych, is now on display in our Helen Everett Reading Room on the 2nd floor of the Library. We will celebrate this new installation with Fukiko Oguchi Marshall on Tuesday, January 30 from 3-5pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Fukiko Oguchi Marshall is a longtime resident of Humboldt County and is well known as the previous owner of several Japanese restaurants. She attended California College of Arts and Craft in Oakland in the 1960's. This artwork was recently on display at the Black Faun Gallery in Eureka. We'd like to thank the artist for loaning this wonderful artwork to the Library.

After this reception, please join us for the 4th annual Fred Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution in the Library Fishbowl from 5-7pm for the screening of Of Civil Rights And Wrongs: The Fred Korematsu Story.
